This pendant was inspired by the lighted Moravian stars (Herrnhuter Sterne) that are traditionally hung in the windows of German houses on the first Advent Sunday before Christmas. The points of the stars originate from each face of a rhombicuboctahedron, an Archimedian solid with 8 triangular and 18 square faces.
