Kanohi Mihewa: Mask of Hallucination
(Matoran Dictionary: Mai-Hai-Wa: Dreaming; Literally, floating in a safe bubble)
“... Durthus saw the green Toa fade as her silhouette scattered into glowing scarabax, flying away into the sunset. A sight all too tender and close to his heart. As instinct took hold of him, he looked back to see not the pool of bloody protodermis he made, but a sparkling lake. He took a few unsteady steps forward, and a small structure then came to view, bathing the shore with warm candlelight. The giant brute was once again home…”
-- Narration from Bionicle Frontier. (Fanfic I'm currently working on)
The Kanohi Mihewa is the mask of inducing hallucinations. Once the user touches a target, they are induced into a wakeful dreamy state where they experience an almost real vision of their fondest memories or desires. Thus, the user cannot control what the target sees, but can still experience the same vision the target sees. Targets can dispel the illusion if their mental capacity is high enough, or if they start doubting the dream. Rode users can see through the illusion and brush it off, while strong-enough Elda users can detect another being in their dreams and start being suspicious.
This mask is different from the Mahiki because it can only handle one target, while also being unable to control what illusion is made.
