The Ulysses-class was a type of Federation starship in use in the 23rd century, classified as a dreadnought or patrol combatant.
The USS Shras was a Federation Ulysses-class heavy dreadnought starship in service to Starfleet during the late 23rd century. The Shras was named after the leader of the Andorian delegation to the Babel conference of 2267, Ambassador Shras.
This ship was used in the elite Klingon Command Academy bridge crew training simulations for the Class of 2290. As such, she was encountered in the Ypres star system in a simulated mission, in company with the USS Thelev.
