Product Description
During WW2, the Chicago and Eastern Illinois Railroad (C&EI) converted several boxcars to use as cabooses. Several of these were given a bay window. There were also several that did NOT receive the bay window or no window at all. This HO scale model is designed to represent those cabooses that did not receive any middle window. You will need to supply your own trucks, couplers, coupler boxes, grab irons, wire for end railings, ladders, smoke jack, etc. Decals are available from the C&EI historical society at ceihs.org. You will also need to scratch build your own roof or purchase the separate roof that I have available for this model in my store.
