Product Description
The design of these cubes was inspired by the concrete block designed by Frank Lloyd Wright called the 'Ennis Block'. It was used on a few homes Wright designed as well as in some Hollywood movie sets like 'Blade Runner'. Wright's design was an exercise in 'shifted squares' which resulted in an asymmetrical motif. Because the design is NOT perfectly symmetrical about the diagonal, each cube I created in the series had to resolve the asymmetry issue differently depending on how the corners and edges were arranged.

Cube Stand. This stand was designed to display the cubes on their corners rather than flat on a table or self. It's offered as an alternative way to display the cube sculptures and was designed from scratch to: 1) Complement the cube without overpowering its design, 2)Minimize how much of the cube is hidden from view, and 3) Be strong enough to support a metal printed cube. The stand works perfectly with Cube 01. It also works with the remaining cubes but because of irregularities along the edges of the cubes, the cube will wiggle a little in the stand. The slight wiggle is unavoidable.
