_____This model is of a "Cantilever Color Light Block Signal" for use over double trackage. Modeled (very) loosely after a photograph of one._____
_____This model is printed in two (2) parts. This enables it to fit within the “Frosted Extreme Detail” material bounding box guidelines. This then gives the modeler two material choices, “Frosted Ultra Detail” and “Frosted Extreme Detail”.
_____This model will not stand upright on the base alone because of the nature of the cantilever. Therefore, four (4), 0.125 inch outside diameter by 0.5 inch long pins at the base has been provided. These pins can be used to attach 0.125 inch inside diameter length(s) of tubing. This tubing will help stabilize the cantilever when inserted in the scenery of the layout or diorama._____
_____The model can be lighted using a small SMD Pico Chip LED. This Light Emitting Diode is a Surface Mounted Device that is on a very small chip with wires attached to the chip. The name, Pico, refers to the very small size. An internet search should provide plenty of sources to purchase these devices._____
_____We used the Evan Designs Chip Pico red LEDs for the signal head lights that can be controlled by a crossing gate sensor. The LED dimensions are 0.5mm x 1.0mm x 0.93mm which includes the LED, the chip, and the wire. The dimensions of the two twisted wires for the Evan Designs Chip Pico LEDs was 0.38mm.
