Samsung NX 1130 Auxiliary Power Plug

This is a replacement battery case for the Samsung NX Smart Camera lineup. It is intended to be used with an auxiliary power supply, of 7.2v, in order to use the camera without the battery installed. For earlier cameras such as the NX-1000 this is to allow them to be continually operated. For newer cameras that allow USB charging, such as the NX-500, this confers a weight saving of between 30 & 40g.

In order to use this case, you will need an auxiliary power source of 7.2v, that can output at least 1 amp. If your power source is higher voltage, there is enough room in the case for a UBEC such as this one. The plug on the output end of this UBEC is ideal for use with the DJI Phantom 2, if installed on the input end, as it can be plugged into the NAZA board. With the required wiring, this solution weighs 14g, compared to the 45g of the regular NX-1130 battery.
