Product Description
HO 1/87 scale Fedora hat assortment. 3 different sizes and heights, 10 of each. Common from the late 19th century to the mid 20th century.
-Small head inner dimensions approx. 19x15cm (scale 2.18x1.72mm)
-Medium head inner dimensions approx. 20x16 (scale 2.3x1.8mm)
-Large head inner dimensions 21x16.5 appox (scale 2.4x1.9mm)
Prior to painting the hats they should be thoroughly cleaned in denatured alcohol and dishwashing liquid to get rid of the process wax. Use enamel or acrylic paint. Due to Shapeways material wall thickness restrictions the brim is a bit thicker then it should be. Use a small file or sandpaper to reduce the thickness of the brim and shape it to your taste prior to mounting it to a figure of your choosing. The Fedora usually has the forward rim slightly tilted downwards. To mount the hats just cut away the top of the head on the figure until you are satisfied with the fit. Then glue it on with ACC or styrene glue.
