Design 1 - Gripper Body
All of the split body Single 26650 DNA Mod Enclosure designs provide the DIY mod builder with adhesive free assembly. You will appreciate this if you need to repair the device or want to remove the electronics for repurposing. These mod enclosures are intended for use only with the authentic Evolv DNA20D, DNA30D, DNA40D and Micro-USB charging boards. The two halves of the body and all of the electronic clamps are secured with thread forming screws. The 3D printed buttons are actually "actuators" that press the on-board switches of the DNA board, this minimizes the amount of soldering and wire routing you will have to do. All of the designs are set-up for the V3 spring loaded 510 connector from Fat Daddy Vapes, with or without the 22mm washer. There are NO longer any threads printed in the hole provided for the 510 connector. The hole is 9 millimeters in diameter and suitable for tapping at 10x1 millimeters for the Fat Daddy Vapes spring loaded connector or can just be filed or reamed out and secured from inside with the nut on the connector. It is a very common size tap and should be available at most automotive or hardware stores. This design has the battery holder printed directly into the tube/510 connection side of the body but you will need to scavenge two battery contacts from one of the battery holders linked below.
3D printing is awesome but many times it isn't perfect. There are times when the print you receive will require a little sanding or filing for the precise fitment required by these devices. If there is a problem that can't be easily fixed, please contact customer service at Shapeways.

NOTES: The buttons and the clamps are now common to all of the Single 26650 DNA Mods. The most inexpensive button option is the complete Button Group printed in one of the plastic materials but there are also other individual button options in case you want to get them in printed in metal or mix and match the colors or materials.

NOTES: 4 of the 3/16" length screws secure the body halves and the other 2 secure the screen clamp. The 8 - 1/4" length screws secure the dna board and charging board clamps. It is recommended to use 20awg wire for the battery and 510 battery connections and 24awg wire for the charging board. I like the Turnigy silicone shielded wire available at HobbyKing.com. Like any other DNA build you will also need things like solder, flux, kapton tape and heat shrink tubing.

NOTES: You don't need all 4 of the linked battery holders. You need 2 battery contacts from one of them. I linked to several models and online retailers to help you locate one where they may be in stock.
NOTES: If you decide to use fuses, it is recommended to use 2 of the ones linked above soldered together in parallel. If you don't have a T3 Torx Driver the one I linked on Amazon is very nice.
