Product Description
Designed for the Fly 1:32 scale Westland Wessex kit, this MRGB (main rotor gearbox) replaces the kit part with a more accurate and more detailed part.
The 3D printed gearbox includes the upper swash plate attached to the gearbox by 3 stand-offs, and the torque link attached by a further stand-off.
A razor saw is recommended for removal of the swash plate and torque link.
Once the parts have been removed, it is recommended to run a Ø2.0 mm drill (by hand) through the gearbox and swash plate.  Guide holes are provided.
Ø2.0 mm brass tube or rod (available on line by many suppliers) is recommended for fitting the rotor head unit, and will provide a strong attachment.
The rotor head/tube can either be fixed or left free to rotate.

The height of this part is exactly the same as the kit part (35mm).   In order to design a more accurately shaped gearbox yet retain the overall height, 4 standoffs had to be included on the underside of the gearbox.  The end user can choose to use the gearbox 'as is' or remove the stand-offs and build a more accurate representation of the transmission area.
