Product Description
This is a replica of the mechanismbox cover for the vintage Long Wheel Based (LWB) Wild Willy M38 (58035) made by Tamiya in the 1980s.
The covers for the SWB/LWB versions are interchangeable (both covers will fit either version), but there are some small differences, mainly in how the wires were routed. The SWB version had most of the wires (to battery connector, heat sink and antenna) routed through various holes on the top of the cover, which requires some soldering (battery connector wires) and a rubber grommet for the heat sink wires/hole, as per the original build manual. The LWB version cover improved on these details, and accomodated for the wires by routing them out via small slots/gaps between the main mechanismbox and the cover itself.
