Dimmer Mount for Rotary Dimmer Switches

Recessed panel mounted dimmer switch housing designed to accept the 12V DC dimmer from PCA Electronics LONG SHAFT (available on Amazon).  DOES NOT INCLUDE DIMMER - MUST BE PURCHASED SEPERATELY

Requires dimmer switch (link above), a 1.5" hole for mounting, and (3) #4 flat head screws of your choice.

Switch housing positions the dimmer knob recessed into the panel so as to provent breaking or bending of the dimmer knob from inadvertant contact. Note that mounting of the switch requires the use of some thin needle nose pliers to tighten the locking nut which is recessed into the housing, and because the knob is recessed into the housing, pliers are also required to remove the knob from the switch after it is installed.  Big fingers may find it difficult to operate the knob since it it recessed into the housing - be aware. The raised rib on the back prevents switch rotation in the event that the nut gets loose, but hot glue can also be applied to the back if you'd like to make sure that the switch remains secured to the housing. Mount attaches to a wooden panel or sheetmetal bulkhead using  (3) #4 flat head screws of your choice.
