Jupiter is the fifth planet from the Sun and is the largest planet in the Solar System. It is a staggeringly large—250% greater than the combined mass of all the other planets in the system, including the other gas giants. It is also famous for the persistence of the Great Red Spot (featured prominently in this design), an anticyclone almost three times as wide as the diameter of the Earth.
In Greco-Roman mythology, Jupiter (Greek name: Zeus), is the leader of the pantheon of deities; appropriate for a planet for that dominates the system with its size. Astrologically, Jupiter represents humanity's jovial humor, passion for justice, urge for growth and pursuit of freedom and prosperity. Jupiter is associated with Thursday.
