3D printed in white nylon plastic with a matte finish and slight grainy feel.
This is a product to help arthritis patients that havent lost full control. Or that still have a little strenght in their hands. Alot of people use hot water bottle for heat therapy or to alliviate pain in your muscles. But normally the bottle has a lid which is normally has a little "turtleneck" around it and for some that means that they have less space to hold the lid. Whcih could make things harder and it could make it harder to apply strenght to it to then open. My product however is an "enhancer" it goes around the actual lid and makes it bigger. That way you can apply more strength to the lid and it will be easier for patients with arthritis, because then they can easily open thier hot water bottle with barely any help. Also this product after printing you need to put rubberbands around it to keep it stable and together around the lid.
I developed this product mostly for a relative of mine which has problems opening hot water bottles alone. She suffers from slight arthritis and normally has to ask others to open the bottle for her. With this product she won't need to ask for help 24/7 and she'll be able to open it on her own.
I made this product by first getting the measurements of the actual hot water bottle lid. Then I thought of by how much I wanted to "enhance" the lid. Then after that I just made 3 layers for how wide theyle be and how thick. Then I connected the three layers with some triangles to make it all into one thing. Then after grouping I had to make the basic outline of the actual lid. After making that I had to make that into a hole and connect it to the actual product. So that there is a hole in the product where the lid will go. After that I had to split the product into two even parts, if not you can just make it half the thickness that you actually want it to be and then when finished you copy and paste it, that way you have two identical parts that should fit into eachother.
