This is a wireframe model of a solid formed of 20 acute golden rhomboids (faces are rhombi whose diagonals are in the golden ratio) with round edges, arranged around the center just like the faces of a regular icosahedron. All of the faces of each rhomboid have been kept intact, to show the construction. It has 60 external faces, hence the name: hexecontahedron = 60. There are 62 external vertices and 120 external edges.The 12 internal struts comprising the inner parts of the rhomboids align with the vertices of a regular icosahedron. The model prints in both metals and plastics. Made in Mathematica, thickened in MeshLab.
