Product Description
Please Note: Before you can use this adapter you will have to purchase a cheap cellphone case that fits your specific phone and bond it to this adapter with 2 sided adhesive.

  This adapter slides securely onto the standard amscope eyepieces (with the rubber hood removed) and lets you take photos and images with your already excellent cellphone camera. I found the quality of these images to be vastly superior to the USB eyepiece cameras that AmScope offers for their microscopes.  This version works well with phones that have a centrally positioned camera, if you have an iPhone or some other such phone with a corner positioned camera, get this one instead: http://shpws.me/Qa6M
 
 In order to make this design compatible with the widest possible range of cellphone models, I designed it to be bonded to whatever cheap, mass-produced cellphone case that will fit your phone instead of trying to to design a different version for each cell phone model, as I have tried to do in the past. I personally have a Galaxy S7 and I found that this 10$ case worked really well. It has a stiff plate as it's back surface that bonds well to adapter, and holds the phone securely with its rubbery edges.  I recomend that you find an equivalent case that fits your particular phone, I would stay away from entirely floppy cases.
 
 I used 3M VHB two sided tape to bond the case to the adapter. This stuff is crazy strong once it's on there. The trick to getting the optical alignment right is to first apply the tape to the bonding face of the adapter, slide the adapter onto the microscope eye-piece, place your phone in the cheap case, turn on the camera app and make sure to keep the image circle centered on the screen as you bring the phone and case into contact with the adhesive on the adapter. Once it's on there, a bit of firm pressure will make the bond basically permanent. (See additional images above for illustrated instructions.)

  I have yet to try this with a 2-camera phone. I imagine you will have to just pick one of the two cameras in the pair to be the one that looks down the eye-piece, and set your camera app to use just that camera.
