Two rabbits face each other at two ends of an open ring band…

Vision is a powerful sense. But it is only powerful with distance, when other senses are out of reach. A gap creates this power by pushing away the other senses. But it also a creates a desire for those senses. What can you see in the distance — are the rabbits coming together or are the rabbits coming apart? What story do these two rabbits share?
The rabbit ring is the first ring I designed. The initial idea was two rabbits separated by a gap. This went through various forms, finally settling on a minimal architectural form. I wanted the ring to fit comfortably, so I rounded the interior. And to contrast, I added a hard geometric edge. This edge provides a platform for the rabbits to interact with, much like a two dimensional video game. Both the rabbits and the geometry interact with one another to provide a moment of storytelling. The rabbits were meticulously crafted using digital sculpting and handmade sketches. The ring is made using parametric computer algorithms, which allows the design to adapt across all ring sizes with every detail staying meaningful.
* The ring can be tailored to your size at no additional fee. For sizing, please see our in-house guide here.

* A tailored digital model of the product is 3d-printed in high-resolution wax and casted using the traditional technique of lost-wax casting. The raw metal is then carefully polished by hand. Because of the unique process of fabrication, please allow 2-3 weeks to process your order.
