Product Description
When fighters appeared in the Star Fleet Universe, the Klingons converted some of the old D6 heavy cruisers in storage into their first carriers, but found them less than ideal. Only when the need for a more effective carrier forced them to it did the Klingon admirals agree to give up a few new-production D7s to create true strike carriers. These ships had the original shuttle bay of the D7, with a second shuttle bay stacked on top of it. Each bay carried six fighters (12 total for the ship) and operated independently. The lower bay had a balcony outside the bay that allowed fighters to be staged to external positions and launched more quickly. Each D7VK carried a multi-role shuttle. The Aztek panels on the outer surfaces represent efforts to reduce the electronic signature of the D7VK and match it to the D7VB so the enemy could not tell the difference.

The ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
