The booms of most Klingon warships could separate to be used as a space lifeboat. In the case of the B10 battleship, the two center warp engines were attached to the boom section. This allowed it to operate as a fully capable heavy cruiser. The Klingons actually considered converting the old D6 shipyard to build nothing but B10 booms since they were superior ships to the old D6s and could be mated with battleship, tug, or dreadnought rear hulls to produce warships of great power. Such "frankenships" proved unreliable in action and the plan to build more B10 booms was scrapped. This is the K-refit version of the boom with improved drone racks and phasers.
The ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
