The Cessna 421 Golden Eagle is a light twin-engine personal transport aircraft with a pressurized cabin, first produced in May 1967. The 421A appeared in 1968 and the aircraft was redesigned in 1970 as the 421B.  The 421C appeared in 1975, and featured wet wings, the absence of wingtip fuel tanks and landing gear that were changed from straight-leg to a trailing-link design from the 1981 model year onwards. Production ended in 1985 after 1,901 aircraft had been delivered.

This 1/144 scale model of the Cessna 421B includes 64 parts (on 9 “models”) and was designed to provide the modeler multiple options for display.  The model features a detailed interior including seats, tables that may be displayed stowed or in use, the instrument panel and controls.  Landing gear options include “closed” for displaying in-flight, gear “extended” for displaying shortly after take-off or on final approach, and “compressed” for displaying on the deck.  The model also features the cabin access door, forward baggage doors and wing luggage locker doors that can be displayed open or closed.  Two types of propellers are included, stationary and spinning, the latter printed in clear plastic, as are the cockpit and cabin windows.  A file containing a decal sheet for the model is provided.  Other variants of the Golden Eagle, including the 421A, 421C and 421CW are also available, as is a window bashing mold for those desiring more clarity than 3D printing allows.
