DIY: Ball Joint Doll

This is a DIY ball joint doll. This needs assembly, drilling, stringing. It is SINGLE jointed. It will be approximately 8inches tall when assembled.

If you have ordered this doll, kindly post a photo of it. So i can continue working on the model so it will be better. Constructive comments are highly appreciated especially in developing the product. 

I put a sintershell on the model to minimize the cost. Sorry if the preview is only a model inside the sintershell. I added a 3D printscreen so you have an  idea of the doll.

Here is a simple instruction on How to Assemble the doll.

1. Clean up the 3D printed doll. Use blower to blow away the plastic powder. I used lens blower that I bought at dollar shop/"daiso" . Be sure to wear respirator mask to prevent plastic particulates from getting into your lungs! You need to remove plastic remnants especially on the body and legs. You can polish the plastic at this stage.

2. Drill holes on the printed model. This is to make sure the string can pass thru the cavity of the model.

3. Drill a small hole on hands and feet. Insert a wire (in my case I used galvanized wire). Secure the wire either by bending it or putting a strong adhesive on it.

4. String the doll. you can search on youtube how to string a doll. Same process applies to this 3D printed model. Kindly check these videos.
