Scale: 1/350
This set of model anchors is sized specifically for scale models of modern US Navy aircraft carriers of the Forrestal, Kitty Hawk, Enterprise, Nimitz, and Ford classes as well as Wasp class LHDs.

Assembly instructions: remove all parts from the sprue, insert the shank through the bottom of the anchor.  Do not glue the shank to the anchor.  A small retaining pin is needed to hold the shank in the crown (the bottom of the flukes).  This part is too small in diameter to be printed.  Use another material such as a small wire, 0.4mm in diameter.  Insert your retaining pin through the small hole at the bottom of the anchor and glue in place.  The shank will then swivel freely.

Notice: This product is available in several different materials.  Customers who have chosen to have products like this printed in "Strong and Flexible" Plastic (a kind of nylon), will have noticeable striations (print lines).  To create smoother surfaces, if desired, apply thin layers of primer meant specifically for nylon, then smooth the primer.  "Strong and Flexible" nylon plastics do not sand easily.  Because of its durability, "Strong and Flexible" nylon plastic is recommended for radio control models.

Acrylic plastics such as "Frosted Detail" is an acrylic-based photopolymer that does offer very smooth surfaces. We recommend using acrylic plastic for static display models where surface smoothness and fine detail are more important than durability.  Unlike "Strong and Flexible" plastic, the level of detail for acrylic products is higher, it sands and cuts easily and accepts acrylic paints meant for plastics beautifully.

These parts are designed for a tight fit.  While producing exceptional detail, acrylic plastic is extremely brittle and breaks easily.  Trim parts, if necessary, rather than force them into place.
