The first time the ESDF encountered these ships it was a complete disaster for the Earth. Once proud ships defeated utterly. Only the Ninth battle squadron, through skill, courage and a willingness to sacrifice, achieved anything approaching regular victories. And then after the same Ninth Squadron accepted the Gorgol surrender these ships became powerful allies in the conflict against the Shaow Rift Empire.
