This 3 unit articulated car is a free-lanced "what if' design created for my own railroad. Each well is capable of holding TWO 40 foot containers, or one 53 foot container and one 20 foot, or four 20 foot containers. And, of course it can be double-stacked, route permitting. So, it's capable of hauling more containers (twelve 40 foot containers) than the Thrall five unit well car (ten 40 foot containers)!
It is designed for a combination of two and three axle trucks, in a 2-3-3-2 configuration.
Standard modern MicroTrains trucks are suggested for the ends of the car, and
these 3 axle Buckeye trucks for the center trucks.
Due to the extremely light weight of these plastic cars, I strongly reccomend using weighted containers to help them stay on the rails in curves, particularly when used in a long train.
Trucks, couplers, brake wheel, and containers are not included.
