Product Description
The Battle of La Ciotat occured in Aug 1944 as part of Operation Dragoon, the Allied landings along the Mediterranean coast of Vichy France. The forces involved included (1) US Destroyer (Endicott), (17) US PT Boats, (2) UK Insect class river gun boats (Aphis & Scarab) vs. (1) captured Itialian Gabbiano class corvette (UJ6082, ex-Antilope) and (1) coverted Egyptian yacht (Nimet Allah).
