Walthers NJT/SEPTA/M-N Comet II replacement steps

The Walthers Comet II cars are a blend of details from the Comet commuter cars and Amtrak Horizon cars. This part gives you an easy way to replace the Horizon-style 4-tread steps with correct Comet-style 3-tread steps. One sprue will complete two cars. For best results, this should be printed in frosted ultra detail.

To install, you will need to cut out the bottom 3 steps on the original Walthers step wells, and the replacement part should slip in with almost no trimming. I used a razor saw to cut on either side, and scored across the back of the third step with a knife to break out the bottom 3 steps. Don't cut out the top step or you will lose the two screws that hold the couplers in. I glued the parts in with CA (super glue).

Each sprue includes enough parts for 2 cars.
