Gloucester Bogies (NGS compatible)

These 2mm:1ft or N-gauge bogies are to the Gloucester 5'6" pattern and the model is meant as a stand-in for the currently and temporarily unavailable N-gauge Society model, except that the Rapido style coupling is rigid and shorter. They are meant to be used with Parkside Dundas 5.1mm diameter wheels, on my BR Rectank model and its nuclear flask conversion. The other end of the bogie has a pocket for a short NEM to the same overall length as an alternative to the fixed Rapido. To clear the trussing under the BR Rectank chassis, you have to cut off the couplings which you are not using. 
If you can't get the Parkside Dundas 5.1 mm diameter wheels, their 6 mm wheels will probably do, or you can try my 5 mm 3D printed wheels (though they may not run as smoothly and do not contribute much weight).
Bogies and wheels can be painted with enamels or acrylics, but I use Windsor & Newton black ink (which is much thinner and easier to apply) and drybrush paints on top for weathering colours.
