Product Description
In 1942 the Germans start to build a new Coastal Battery in Fjell - Austratt /  Norway. The main armament of this battery was the 28cm C-Turret (aft) of the damaged battleship Gneisenau. The whole turret was removed from the ship and transported to the new place. The 10,5 m rangefinder was removed and placed in an extra cupola several meters away. The holes are closed with armor plates. After the war the Norwegians take over the battery and used them until 1968. Today it´s a museum. The second turret was installed in the same order in the Orland coastal Battery near Trondheim.
