N Scale NS C9-40W cab

This N-Scale cab is designed to be a direct replacement for the standard cab on a Kato 9-44CW. Windows from the old cab will transfer to this cab. Modelers will lose the lighting method of the stock Kato headlight due to relocation to the brow of the cab. There is plenty of room for either custom-made light pipes or small LED's. The stock Kato model has ditch lights mounted under the anticlimber while Norfolk Southern mounts them above. The incorrect location can be retained with no alterations to the stock model if desired. 4/6/14 - I have just been made aware of the fact that Kato has redesigned their shell/cab for the C44-9 locomotives. The new design has different length and width panels on each side of the cab which are not shown in the image of the cab I am selling. THIS CAB WILL NOT FIT THE NEWER STYLE SHELLS. Now offering in Frosted Extreme Detail material. Please note that I have not tested the FXD material for fit/finish. I have heard through other modelers that there are size difference in the two printing processes. I expect that it won't be enough of a difference to cause problems.
