This is a 27 foot main post bracket signal with lower dolly posts on both the left hand and right hand sides. The bracket signal post was usually used to indicate which track a train would be entering either the main line or the loop. The bracket could also indicate entry to other tracks or be a Home/Starter signal where there was restricted space. Signal post heights indicated the status of the track they were protecting. Similarly, signal arm placements and sizes followed the same rule.
A double set of bracket detail parts containing signal arms and other details such as finials, lamp tops and counterweight levers is also required to complete this signal along with 0.015" phosphor bronze wire and several small screws that are readily available.
