N Scale Alco C-855B Locomotive Shell

This is an N scale kit for an Alco C-855B locomotive.  These locomotives where built for the Union Pacific Railroad who had the only set of three, two C-855s and one C855B.

The kit includes the main body shell, fuel tank, sandboxes, a set of horns, drive shaft extenders and a fuel tank mounting plug. The kit will also require two chassis extender parts or a dummy chassis. (Note: the dummy chassis is not available yet).

This kit is designed to be used with a Con-Cor U50/Turbine powered chassis which is not included.

The Chassis extenders are designed to be printed in Stainless Steel by Shapeways and can be found here.

The detail part such as grab irons, handrails, walkways, ladders and Air/MU hoses are available as brass Additions and are available for this locomotive here on my website.

This kit is only printable in the FUD & FXD materials and will require cleaning before painting.  I recommend washing with warm soapy water then soaking in 'Goo Gone' or similar product for about 24 hours.  Then rinsing off with warm water and allowing to dry.
