Inspiration This cuff was inspired by Christen Købke's Portrait of the Artist's Sister, Cecilie Margrethe Petersen/née Købke, 1835. I was struck by the elegance that Købke's sister exuded, and sought to design a bracelet that would be in line with Købke's understated nature.
The form of the bracelet was inspired by Cecilie's perfectly coifed hair, and the curved edges of the chair that she is resting her arm on; I especially loved how Købke juxtaposed the fluidity of the curls of her hair against his sister's still posture.
