Product Description
This is an HO scale model of a Southern Railway bay window caboose, as made by Gantt Manufacturing. The first of the cabooses were built in 1969, and some are still in service today on Norfolk Southern.
Separate the floor from both the body and the smoke stack. Glue the smoke stack into the roof, if desired, using the spue to properly locate it in the hole. The body has holes for wire grab irons, which the modeler will have to make and install. The body is designed to simply snap onto the floor, however gluing will result in a much stronger model.
Trucks and couplers are up to the modeler. The model is designed to accept either a Kadee #5 or an Accu-Mate Proto coupler box.
