Van Dorn Link and Pin Coupler

This is an HO scale (1/87) model of a Van Dorn link and pin coupler. These were used on wooden rail cars on the Chicago, Aurora & Elgin as well as the Chicago Rapid Transit/CTA and other interurban/rapid transit railroads. This contains 6 couplers, or enough for 3 cars. It also contains 6 links that fit inside the coupler hole. This system allows the coupler to be functional as well as a detail part. The holes on the link and the coupler line up and a piece of 1 mm diameter brass wire can be used to to hold the link in place.
