Product Description
Kepler's model of planetary orbits from Mysterium Cosmographicum
Mysterium Cosmographicum: (The Cosmographic Mystery)
In which Kepler proposed that the orbits of the planets could be described in terms of the five Platonic solids, each enclosed in a sphere, the outer one representing the orbit of Saturn.
Kepler was actually right within the observational limits of the time, but abandoned the theory when more accurate observations didn't support it.

"Forerunner of the Cosmological Essays, Which Contains the Secret of the Universe; on the Marvelous Proportion of the Celestial Spheres, and on the True and Particular Causes of the Number, Magnitude, and Periodic Motions of the Heavens; Established by Means of the Five Regular Geometric Solids" (Wikipedia)
