A set of LED tubes to be used with the
Teensyboy Pro Case (Version 2.0) with the function of transmitting the light from the on-board LED's of the
Teensyboy Pro unit to the sides of the case.
The larger piece is for the 'mode' LED's and the smaller piece is for the 'MIDI signal' LED on the other side. They are printed in a translucent fine detail plastic in order to allow light to travel from the board to the square cut-outs on the sides of the case.
For the best result, paint the entire part with a reflective metallic paint EXCEPT for those areas indicated by red in the images above (locate the 'visual guide for reflective painting' image in the group). This will prevent extra light from escaping through the sides of the tubes and maximize the brightness that they appear from the outside.
Two additional images have also been included to illustrate the placement of the tube(s) on either side of the inside of the top of the case (case not included with this product). These tubes are to be installed before the case is assembled!
Also, to save on the cost of printing, the two parts have been sprued together and will need to be separated. The sprue connects the side of the 'signal' LED tube to the back of the 'modes' LED tubes. You can simply cut this spue down the middle or cut them off closer to the parts but as the parts are quite small and the sprue has to be a certain thickness to withstand the printing process, it is almost as thick as the tubes themselves so cut with care!
Keep in mind, these are only compatible with the
Teensyboy Pro Case Version 2.0! The Version 1.0 has windows instead.
