Product Description
This model is an illustration of the smallest existing triple of SPSS dissection isomers. Is does not try to resemble any hypercube, a "simple perfect cubed cube" or a Borg Cube. So what is it? In short, each simple perfect squared square (SPSS) is a wonderful thing. There are so called dissection isomers, i.e. elements (small squares) of some dissections can be rearranged to form a new dissection consisting of the same elements. Many pairs of dissection isomers have been discovered so far. And even better, there also exist triples! The three dissections of order 28 used her are given by their Bouwkamp codes (165,102,141)(63,39)(24,156)(99,61,92)(38,23)(15,8)(7,9,20,64)(144,13,2)(11)(44)(45,111)(87,21)(66) and (165,144,99)(38,61)(15,23)(21,66,44,13)(7,8)(11,2)(9)(92)(141,45)(20)(64)(111)(156)(102,39)(24,87)(63) and (165,144,99)(38,61)(15,23)(87,44,13)(7,8)(11,2)(9)(92)(102,63)(20)(64)(39,24)(21,66)(45)(156)(141)(111). Please refer to for comprehensive information about square dissections.
