P40702-01 HG P407 Battery Retainer

If you are used to the Tamiya Bruiser battery holder, you know that rubber bands should not be used on a car like that. Like the Bruiser, the HG P407 battery tray is lacking. This will allow you to attach a retainer with a door on top of your stock battery tray so that your batteries will stay put. Use those rubber bands for something more fitting. You will need to tap the holes with an M3 tap and use machine screws to hold it all together. Please see the video below for the installation and hardware you will need. One order has all the components you need for one truck. 

***This has only been tested on one HG P407. We do not know if this will fit the vintage Mountatineer, ReRelease Bruiser or Mountain Rider***
