As seen on the video version of the iMore Podcast, (or heard about and then seen on YouTube, after the audio version of the iMore podcast). It's a tray for storing and displaying both the Sport and Woven Nylon bands for your Apple Watch. Literally, just a tray. But then again, I suppose you could say they're "just" watch bands, too. So, I suppose it is a pretty special tray. So, while I work out the details of how to mass produce the tray shown in the video (which, given the materials and the processing, can't be inexpensive) here's a way to get one in a variety of colours and materials, from a production house I trust. (I've made all sorts of camera parts through ShapeWays. I love them to bits!)
The cool thing about ShapeWays vs. the milled aluminium version, is they're a digital real-world product, "printed" from resins, metal, or metal-filled resins, on-demand. While the alumimum I mill away gets recycled, there's still a considerable amount of coolant liquid used to mill metal. So, if you can't wait a few weeks until I get the aluminum model in a mass-producable state, or if you'd like to be both as high tech and as green as can be, here's the tray, on Shapeways!
