Product Description

Worshipping animals in ancient Egypt was part of their daily life. Egyptians showed for many animals gratitude and respect because the Egyptians believed that animals are in close contact with the deities and gods, which people could not achieve.

Cats in ancient Egypt were one of the sacred animals. These little companions fascinated Egyptians since early times when the cat was domesticated approximately 4,000 years ago. There are pictures and statues of these wild felines everywhere in Egypt but it was not until after 2000 BC that they were fully domesticated and made their appearance in the houses of the Egyptians.

Commonly called by the word Mit or Miut, a word used to denote great love. The same word was used to expess love to their children.
