Carriage 118 is an all third saloon carriage in the Tin Carr series built in 1977 by Boston Lodge and is an all steel saloon carriage with semi-stressed skin, built at Boston Lodge after a review of the line profiles. The underframe was originally used on an Isle of Man steam Railway Pairs coach then it was repainted and refurbished in mid 1991 when it was fitted with new wooden doors and had a refurbishment of end the vestibules the work also included modifications to guttering and the fitting of removable down spouts. 118 worked on the FR until it was withdrawn from traffic in October 2016 to be replaced by a FR Superbarn wih the same number it is now at the Golden Valley Light Railway in Derbyshire. This model is 1:76/009 scale and fits the Narrow planet pair of FR modern coach bogies with couplings of your choice and can negotiate tight radius curves upto 12 inches. The model also requires painting, window glazing & some of your spare time to complete.
