On each face of a cube,
two times four strands weave a fabric of beams.
The strands connect into twelve links, in three colors.
The beams have a square-root-2 rhombus as cross section,
yielding square cut faces when cut at 45 degrees.
This sculpture can be placed in three orientations:
on a face, on an edge, and on a vertex.
Each orientation gives rise to a very different visual experience.
The original is in three types of wood.
Also available as an eight-piece puzzle,
so that you can appreciate the interior structure.
