Product Description
The Sierpinski Tetrahedron, a tetrahedron made fractally of other tetrahedrons, is on the inside of this model, inside o sphere of radius 1. Then each of its vertex points {x,y,z} is re-plotted as its inverse: {1/x, 1/y, 1/z}, and the new vertices are joined to make the inverted tetrahedron. Because the regular tetrahedron is on the inside, it's easy to see how the inverse is turned inside out. A great model for explaining, and seeing, the mathematical process of inversion (a bit like turning a sweater inside out). Plotted in Mathematica, solidified with Meshlab, and printable in plastics and semi-precious metals.
