Tripod Mount Adapter for DJI Phantom 4 Drones

This adapter when combined with one T nut from Home Depot will allow you to mount a DJI Phantom 4 Drone to a variety camera gear such as tripods, sliders, and hand held stabilizers, so you can still use it for capturing video and stills during situations where flying is not possible. I created this because the camera on the Phantom 4 Pro is able to record 4K at 60fps and I could not afford a DSLR capable of doing the same. I had the drone, why not use it!?

Application is simple for projects not requiring the drone to tilt forward or backward (remaining level).
1) Buy the adapter
2) Press in a single T nut costing about 30 cents. Get them here:

3) Screw on your quick release plate from a tripod, slider or stabilizer
4) Secure the drone to the mount using the 4 zip tie channels
5) Go To Town!

This will make attachment and removal quick and easy as well as giving you the tightest most secure fit as long as the rubberized strips on the bottom of the drone's landing gear are in good condition. You should be able to tilt the drone forward or backward with no slipping.

As a side note, I have included 4 small 4mm holes in the design to accomidate screws for rubber feet in case thats something you want to have. The inset holes are 6mm for the screw heads which was chosen by using Teflon 3mm screws with philips heads of 5mm wide. Works perfect for attachment of rubber feet.
