This variant of the Sondorian flying bireme dispenses with the downward-pointing mortars, resulting in a vessel that is faster, higher-flying, and has a longer range. Thanks to its speed, the ship can easily close in on other airships and ram them. The ram is designed not to pierce the hull, but rather to shear off the levitators of enemy vessels. Baffles between the buttresses holding the levitators out from the hull make this next to impossible in some cases, but ships such as the Karadenian flying galleon are still vulnerable. The ram is also useful for targeting other areas of enemy ships, such as the bridge, making it a good bit more versatile than a ram on a surface ship. For ranged combat against other airships, and also for long-range strikes against ground targets, the ship retains its 16 broadside deck guns and twin bow chasers from the siege variant, with four additional deck guns facing fore and aft.
