The sixth largest moon in the solar system, yet the smallest of the four Galilean satellites of Jupiter (Io, Europa, Ganymede, Callisto), Europa is most famous for the vast liquid ocean it might be hiding under it's icy surface, an ocean greater than all of Earth's oceans put together.
The lack of craters on Europa's surface shows a geologically active world, sometimes known to jettison 200km high water plumes, 20 times taller than mount Everest.
Tidal friction is known to heat Europa's interior, allowing for the possibility of an ecosystem to exist whose lifegiving energy comes not by the sun far above, but the depths below and the gravity of the gas giant close by.
