The Medicine Wheel

The Medicine Wheel, or Circle of Life, is found in many tribes and in many parts of the worldl. The compass points North, South, East and West in four directions. Mother Earth is below and Father Sky is above.

The circle shape represents life. We change like the seasons as we pass through life, traveling through the part of the circle. The center of the circle is the Spirit, from which everything extends and everything returns.

Out of the center, the Zero point, life explodes into the six directions of 3D space.(above and below, front and back, left and right, or XYZ (red, green and blue) in the cartesian coordinate system.
As we define our boundaries through three circles, we are creating three spiritual safety bars in all directions. There can be several layers of those to represent body, heart and mind for example.
