009 Ore Wagons X 3
(4 mm Scale)
Designed to print in black natural versatile plastic
These are iron ore skip wagons, based on a type used by a european mining company.
I have designed these to print in a block of three, in black natural versatile plastic. The rough surface of the plastic resembles an old metal rusted and pitted surface very well.
This is a revised version where I have remodelled the skip separate from the frames to allow the body to be modelled in the tipping position or the loaded position.
To couple the wagons together, I have included a set of universal basic couplings. You may need to add a coupling of your choice on the end wagon to attach to the locomotive. I have used Greenwich couplings for this, which can also be used to couple the wagons together.
The chassis has a clip-on base to hold the wheels. I would recommend the following size wheels: 6.2 mm metal wheels with 7 curved spokes, ref PN58 for 2 or PN59 for 20 from Dundas Models. I have removed the pin points on the axels with a fine file.
