New from HWP! Original Tyco "S" guidepins are incredibly hard to find. Now you can get your old HO Tyco Speedways slot cars back on the track with this set of 24 replacement guidepins. These pins are made extra-long (8mm) so you can trim them to your prefered length.
Includes 12 single-pin dual wheelbase position to fit all Tyco S bodies, 6 twin-pin and 6 blade short wheelbase models that can be set up for the coolest original feature of the Tyco S cars... Front Wheel Steering!
To make the short wheel base models steerable, simply trim off the two small side pins leaving the larger center pin in place. If the car's body permits enough travel, the front wheels will automatically steer to follow the curve of your track! The twin-pin and bladed models are intended for steering. They might bind up in the turns if you leave them set for fixed steering. The dual-position model is reversible to fit short, medium, and long wheelbase bodies.
Nail clippers or a sharp hobby knife will easily trim the guide pins apart from the sprue material. Use a fine emery board (nail file) to sand to fit if tight. A small drill bit the same diameter of the front axle can be used (recommended by hand twisting) to open up the axle slot if needed.
