This is a fun design that I did based on Christen Købke's, Portrait of the Artist's Sister.
Købke's portrait is beautful in its simplicty of subject, yet he was a master of light and texture. The clear choice for me would have been to design the jewelry and personal touches that the
sitter is wearing in the portrait. However I wanted to try and do somethign a bit more unexpected.
Therefore I replicated the number identification plate that is seen affixed to the frame of this painting.
It is a very simple execution but conceptually is a pretty neat idea. To be able to wear one's favorite paintings identificaton plaque. All this pendant needs is a jumpr ring and chain at each end, or a simple tie of a leather or silk jewelry cord. Because of the simplicity, this makes a great unisex design that not only could be worn as a necklace/choker but also as an ID bracelet.
